    A Gift for Eleonora
A rare opportunity to see a live performance in Chatsworth’s Victorian theatre. A Gift for Eleonora is an original performance installation that has been adapted to respond to Chatsworth for Art Out Loud 2016. The work is based on the life of the remarkable Eleonora di Toledo (1522-1562), who became the first Duchess of Florence when she married Cosimo I de’Medici. Her world revolved around fashion, textiles and trade. A shrewd businesswoman and patron of the arts, she was living in Renaissance Italy at the same time as Bess of Hardwick.
